An investigator is defined as any project personnel that will be responsible for the design, conduct, or reporting. Training (b) is required for research involving mice or rats.Ĭonflicts of Interest - Each Investigator awarded a research or sponsored project must complete training on this policy prior to accepting and engaging in project activities, the Investigator’s responsibilities regarding disclosure prior to engaging in research, and at least every four (4) years thereafter. Laboratory Animal Research – Training (a) is required for all faculty, staff and researchers doing work involving animals this includes field work projects and the use of animals in coursework as well as laboratory research. (b) Biomedical Research Investigators (basic/refresher) (a) Social & Behavioral Research Investigators (basic/refresher) This includes student research assistants and collaborators at other institutions. Human Subjects Research – Training (a) or (b) is required for all researchers doing work involving human participants. Trainings marked * are required for members of oversight committees and for administrative staff.Įssentials of Grant Proposal Development - All faculty seeking funding are encouraged to complete the Essentials of Grant Proposal Development module as it will provide insight and a foundation to the proposal submission process. Once registered on the website, please select and complete the required courses. CITI will provide confirmation of your successful completion of the course directly to Research and Sponsored Programs. Use your CSUN email as the primary address.
